The Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force (RT&CIPF) is actively investigating a shooting incident that occurred on the evening of Wednesday, 28 May 2025, in the Blue Hills area, near a dining establishment.
At approximately 7:23 p.m., the Police Control Room received reports of loud explosions in the vicinity.
Responding swiftly, officers from several units canvassed the area in an attempt to apprehend the suspects. While securing the scene, a male individual whose behaviour raised suspicions was stopped and searched.
The male minor was identified and subsequently arrested on suspicion of discharging a firearm.
Further investigation led officers to a nearby residence on Bay Road, where they found a 23-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound to his right leg.
The victim was transported to a medical facility for treatment.
Additionally, another male, aged 50, reportedly sustained an injury to his thumb.
Based on initial investigations, while the 50-year-old was in the company of other individuals, gunshots were heard.
