The Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force have today named the man that died in the shooting incident on 1st January 2018 in Aviation Drive as Lavern Jeven SMITH, 25 years of Kingston Providenciales TCI.
The Acting Commissioner of Police, Trevor Botting, has also confirmed that officers from the Royal Cayman Islands Police Service will be arriving on the Turks and Caicos Islands on Wednesday 3rd January 2018 to commence their independent review of the circumstances of the shooting of Mr Smith on New Year’s Day.
