Suspects Charged
Officers of the Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force (Operational Response Unit) have charged three persons following a series of investigations into reports made and information received.
On Friday, 10th May 2024, Mr FERNEL PIERRE was charged with the following offences: ∙ Dangerous driving,
- Assault on police officer,
- Remaining on the islands beyond the permitted time and
- Resisting arrest.
The charges against Mr Pierre stemmed from an incident on April 19th, 2024, in Blue Hills, Providenciales. Mr Pierre is scheduled to appear before a Magistrate at a later date.
DEMARCO A. FORBES has been charged with Unlawful Possession of Control Drugs. This charge was laid on May 10.
Following investigations, Mr Forbes was charged with the following additional offences on Sunday, 12th May:
∙ Going equipped to steal,
∙ Two counts of using an offensive weapon to cause fear,
∙ Trespassing.
All charges were laid due to an incident on Thursday, 9th May 2024.
On Saturday, 11th May, ANTONY SALAZAR was charged with the offence of driving a motor vehicle with alcohol concentration above the prescribed limit.
Mr Salazar is on bail and expected to appear before a Magistrate.
The charges against Mr Salazar resulted from investigations undertaken on Friday, 26th April 2024, following a vehicular incident.
