The Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force stood in solidarity alongside our TCI Border
Force colleagues on 25 January, officially marking the observance of Law Enforcement Week
2026 with a church service.

Held at the Church of God of Prophecy, Blue Hills and officiated by Bishop Kevin Myers, the
service signalled the start of Law Enforcement Week, which will be observed from January 25 to
January 31, 2026, under the theme: “Strengthening Unity, Honouring Service, Protecting Our
Borders.”

In his message, Bishop Myers emphasized the role of law enforcement officers as the
gatekeepers of the Turks and Caicos Islands, highlighting their responsibility to protect the
nation’s borders, uphold the rule of law, and serve with integrity and vigilance. His message
called for unity, moral strength, and continued dedication among those entrusted with public
safety.

The service was attended by Commissioner of Police Fitz Bailey, Acting Assistant
Commissioner Dwight Gardiner, and other police officers.
Law Enforcement Week 2026 is an initiative designed to recognize the professionalism,
sacrifice, and unwavering service of law enforcement officers across the Turks and Caicos
Islands.

The observance also aims to strengthen collaboration among agencies while fostering
meaningful engagement with the communities they serve.
