misleading information circulating in the public domain regarding a recent incident involving the
discovery of ammunition in the possession of a police officer.
The Force wishes to make it unequivocally clear that the officer who has been charged in
connection with this matter is NOT a member of the contingent of officers recently deployed to
the Turks and Caicos Islands to assist with crime-fighting efforts. Any suggestion or reporting to
the contrary is incorrect and unfounded.
The RT&CIPF takes this opportunity to reassure the public that all officers, whether local or
deployed, are held to the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and accountability.
Allegations of misconduct are treated with the utmost seriousness and are thoroughly
investigated.
The Force further urges members of the public and media practitioners to refrain from spreading
unverified information, as this can undermine public confidence and ongoing investigative
processes.
