 Yesterday (March 25th), around 11:20 p.m., Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force officers responded to a robbery at a business establishment on North Back Salina, Grand Turk. 

According to a preliminary investigation conducted by officers of the Criminal Investigations  Department, a male entered the establishment and confronted someone about the price of a drink.  

The male suspect left after making threats and returned shortly after armed with a knife and proceeded to rob the establishment. 

Grand Turk Superintendent Willet Harvey said, “This incident is under active investigation. We are aware of the suspect and are pursuing specific leads. I also wish to caution businesses and residents to always contact the police should someone issue threats to harm you or your property. 

“Do not dismiss such. The necessary action can be initiated by alerting us immediately to  potentially prevent future criminal activity.” 

The public is being asked to contact 911, the closest police station, the RTCIPF Serious Crime  Unit at 232-8752, or call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-8477 and anonymously give any information on this incident or other illegal activity.
