On October 7, 2025, SHAIWONZO MISSICK,31, of South Back Salina, Grand Turk, was charged by officers of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) with multiple firearms related offenses.
The accused appeared before a Magistrate yesterday and was remanded to H.M. Prison—Home of the Department of Correction and Rehabilitation in Grand Turk pending a sufficiency hearing on December 5, 2025.
Missick had previously appeared before the court in relation to these matters. However, following a sufficiency hearing on November 4, 2024, the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) withdrew some of the charges.
Missick was re-arrested on October 6, 2025, and faces the following charges:
* One Count – Discharging Firearm
* One Count- Discharging Ammunition
* One Count-Possession of Firearm with intent to commit a serious offence * Two Counts-Possession of Ammunition
* One Count –Possession of Firearm
The charges against Missick came following a report made on Saturday, 29 June 2024, following a shooting incident in Breezy Brae.
