The Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force (RT&CIPF) is aware of a report circulating online, allegedly involving police officers and civilians at a business establishment in Grace Bay.
An investigation has commenced into the circumstances surrounding the incident, as the details of what transpired remain unclear.
Once concluded, if any officer is found to be culpable of wrongdoing, the appropriate action will be taken.
The RT&CIPF remains clear: police officers are not above the law. Those entrusted with the duty to serve and protect must be held to the highest standards of accountability and integrity.
All officers, whether in uniform or off-duty, are expected to behave in a manner that reflects the honour of the uniform they wear.
