Officers of the Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force (RT&CIPF) have recovered another illegal firearm as part of ongoing operations aimed at disrupting criminal activity and enhancing public safety across the islands.

On Saturday, 14 March 2026, shortly after 12 pm, a team of detectives assisted by Tactical Unit officers conducting targeted operations in Grand Turk carried out a search operation within the Over Back community.

During the search, officers recovered one Glock pistol fitted with an extended magazine along with several rounds of ammunition.

At this time, no arrests have been made in connection with the recovery.

This recovery represents the third illegal firearm seized by the RT&CIPF for the year. Of the three firearms recovered so far in 2026, two were seized in Providenciales, while the most recent recovery occurred in Grand Turk during this operation.

The RT&CIPF reiterates its commitment to removing illegal firearms from communities.

This matter remains an active and ongoing investigation.
