Over the past 72 hours, Grand Turk has recorded two robbery incidents. These incidents remain under active investigation and one has not been finally classified. During the same period, two aggravated assault incidents were also reported.
The Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force fully recognizes the concern and anxiety that incidents of crime can cause among citizens and residents. We want to assure the public that these matters are being treated with the utmost seriousness. To strengthen public safety and maintain confidence within the community, a number of measures have been implemented to provide the Grand Turk Station District with additional operational support in both the short and medium term.
These measures are designed to enhance our visibility, response capabilities, and crime prevention efforts as we proactively address any potential increase in criminal activity. The RTCIPF remains committed to safeguarding our communities and will continue to work diligently to ensure Grand Turk remains a safe place to live, work, and visit.
We encourage members of the public to remain vigilant and to report any suspicious activity to the Police. Community cooperation remains a vital component of our collective efforts to prevent and reduce crime.
