Just after 2:45 PM today, officers of the Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force (RT&CIPF) responded to reports of a fire in Five Cays, Providenciales.
The reported location was behind Liz Bakery.
Upon arrival, police officers and firefighters encountered several wooden structures and vehicles fully engulfed in flames.
Due to wind conditions, containing the fire proved challenging. Officers promptly took action to ensure public safety by evacuating the area. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
The fire has now been brought under control. However, officers remain at the scene as investigations proceed.
The RT&CIPF is collaborating closely with fire officials to ascertain the cause of the blaze.
