Around 2:17 p.m. today ( Wednesday 06th March 2024), the Police Control Room received a report of gunshots being heard on Black Crow Road, Kew Town, Providenciales. 

Officers responded and were given a description of a vehicle leaving the scene. A coordinated response resulted in officers intercepting the suspected vehicle on Bay Road, where two males of  Five Cays, ages 28 and 21, were arrested. 

At 2:36 pm, officers received additional information that a 57-year-old female was seeking medical treatment, having been shot by a stray bullet while in Kew Town. 

Head of Crime, Safeguarding, and Public Protection Superintendent Dean Holden said: “The  RTCIPF remains committed to swift and thorough investigations. Today’s arrest marks a significant step towards ensuring justice and restoring community safety. Criminal behaviour  will not be tolerated, and those responsible will be held accountable to the fullest extent of the  law.” 

The RTCIPF asks the public to notify the closest police station, contact 911, the Serious Crime  Unit at 231-1842, Crime Stoppers at 1-800-8477, and anonymously give any information on illegal activity.
