The Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force (RT&CIPF) accepted an invitation on behalf of the Minister and Member of Parliament for Five Cays, Hon. Rachel Taylor, to attend and participate in the Annual Senior Citizens Social held on Sunday, 1 February 2026, at the Felix Morley Community Center.

The event was hosted under the theme “Roots of Resilience: A Celebration of the Pioneers and Keepers of Our Heritage,” honoured senior citizens whose lives, labour, and leadership laid the foundation in the community of Five Cays.

Among those in attendance were Commissioner of Police Fitz Bailey and acting Assistant Commissioner Dwight Gardiner. Also present were Deputy Premier Hon. Jamell Robinson and Hon. Erwin J Saunders, Minister of Innovation, Technology and Energy.

In his address, Commissioner Bailey spoke on the importance of honouring senior citizens as pillars of wisdom, resilience, and community strength. He also outlined the mechanisms in place to address crime within communities, reassuring attendees that police officers remain highly visible and actively engaged to keep communities safe and strengthen public confidence.

Adding to the celebratory atmosphere, Commissioner Bailey and Acting Assistant Commissioner Gardiner joined senior citizens in a lively conga line, symbolizing unity, joy, and the strong bond between the Police Force and the community.
