For Emergency, Call 9-1-1

On Wednesday, 25 February 2026, the Force Executive convened a meeting with the Minister of Infrastructure, Hon. Arlington Musgrove; the Minister of Transport, Hon. Shawn Malcolm; and Deputy Secretary Mr. Garvin Thomas.

During the meeting, Acting Commissioner Kendall Grant presented a strategic proposal designed to address traffic congestion in the Downtown area, Blue Hills, and at the Suzi-Turn Roundabout in Providenciales.

The proposal details the construction of a dedicated access ramp from Leeward Highway into the Blue Hills area, Suzi-Turn, and Turtle Creek Drive. The initiative is intended to alleviate congestion at the roundabout, strengthen road safety measures, and improve emergency response times for police, ambulance, and fire services.

The Ministers conveyed their strong endorsement of the initiative and applauded the RT&CIPF for its forward-thinking and solution-driven approach to addressing an increasingly pressing public issue. The proposal was favourably received as a comprehensive measure aimed not only at improving traffic flow, but also at enhancing public safety and supporting Providenciales’ ongoing economic development.

Acting Commissioner Grant noted that congestion at this critical junction creates operational constraints for emergency responders and heightens public frustration. He explained that the proposed intervention is designed to divert a substantial volume of traffic away from the roundabouts, thereby increasing traffic predictability, improving safety, and facilitating smoother movement for residents, motorists, and businesses. He further affirmed the RTCIPF’s commitment to continued collaboration with Government ministries and key stakeholders to ensure that infrastructure planning remains aligned with national security priorities, public safety requirements, and long-term sustainable development goals.

Also in attendance were Deputy Commissioner Rodney Adams, Assistant Commissioner Darron Williams, Acting Assistant Commissioner Dwight Gardiner, and Asset Manager Mr. Phil Branch.
