The Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force (RTCIPF), working alongside the Turks and Caicos Islands Regiment and Border Force, has detained 110 irregular migrants following a maritime interdiction operation today.
RTCPIF Marine assets Sea Guardian and the newly commissioned Sea Protector 2 transported the migrants to the Dock, where a final count confirmed:
- 87 males
- 23 females
All individuals are being processed by the relevant authorities in accordance with established immigration procedures.
Authorities are also responding to a separate migrant vessel incident. Further details will be released once available.
