The Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force (RTCIPF) proudly congratulates Acting Inspectors Tyree Gardiner and Myrtha Payen-Mars on their outstanding achievements following the successful completion of the Regional Junior Officers Course at the Guyana Police Academy.
The intensive eight-week programme, hosted by the Guyana Police Force and commencing on 1 June 2026, was designed to prepare officers for middle-management responsibilities through a blend of academic instruction and practical leadership development. The curriculum included leadership and management, public speaking, effective communication, critical thinking, crime prevention strategies, community engagement, ceremonial drills, and equitation.
Their commitment to excellence and professional development was recognised during the graduation ceremony, where both officers distinguished themselves among their regional counterparts. Acting Inspector Tyree Gardiner was awarded Second Runner-Up Overall, while Acting Inspector Myrtha Payen-Mars received the highly coveted Award of Excellence, a testament to her exceptional performance throughout the course.
Representing the RTCIPF at the graduation ceremony was Acting Deputy Commissioner of Police Kendall Grant, who attended in support of the officers and to celebrate their remarkable accomplishments stated:
