The Traffic Enforcement Unit of the Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force (RT&CIPF) is
investigating the circumstances surrounding a two-vehicle collision that occurred along Leeward
Highway earlier today.


Shortly after 11 a.m., the Police Control Room received a report of a traffic accident in the
vicinity of Central Square, Leeward Highway. At the time of the initial call, the extent of injuries
was unknown.


Emergency services were immediately dispatched. The Fire Department and medical personnel
responded to the scene and reported that four people appeared to have sustained injuries,
including one female adult and three children.


The female adult succumbed to injuries at the scene, while the injured children, aged 3, 7, and 8,
were transported by ambulance to Cheshire Hall Medical Centre for treatment.


Motorists travelling along Leeward Highway are advised to exercise caution and use alternative
routes where possible as emergency responders continue their work in the area.
