Officers from the Grand Turk Police Station today commenced a series of community
engagement visits across Grand Turk, aimed at strengthening relationships with residents and
enhancing police visibility within neighbourhoods.
During the visits, officers delivered appreciation plates to residents and spent time engaging in
meaningful conversations, listening to concerns, and fostering positive interactions.
Head of Division A, Superintendent Willet Harvey, stated that officers have been assigned to
various districts throughout Grand Turk to ensure residents are familiar with the officers serving
their communities and to reinforce the police presence.
“This will be a continuous engagement. I encourage residents to come out and speak with the
officers assigned to their areas when they visit. We want to hear from you and will be cracking
down on infractions, no matter how minor,” Superintendent Harvey said.
Community engagement activities were conducted in the Breezy Brae and the North Back Salina
areas.
- In Breezy Brae, officers engaged with residents alongside former Inspector George Worrell and
Ms. Jane Lightbourne. - In Back Salina, community members Ms. Rosina Arthur and Ms. Dorothy Williams
participated in the engagement activities.
The visits were supported by Inspector Dominic Missick, Sergeant Aquina Martin and Constable
Stenia Simlett.
