On Tuesday 17th October 2016 in the Supreme Court, 22-year-old Deron Alexander Wilson of Providenciales was found guilty for possession of Ammunition.
It was on Wednesday 18th May 2016, acting on information, Detectives of the Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force executed an Authority to Search for illegal Firearm at the home of Mr. Wilson located on Millennium Highway, Blue Hills. During the search a DVD case containing eight (8) rounds of ammunition was found. When asked who it belongs too, Wilson stated that they belong to him and that he bought them to make pendants for chains but he doesn’t know if they’re real or not.
He was arrested for the ammunition and later charged and cautioned for the offence.
He was sentenced to 5 years imprisonment.
