The Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force is aware of a WhatsApp message currently circulating on all social media platforms, alleging that the police killed three persons. Two from Dock Yard and one from Five Cays respectively.
These allegations are inaccurate.
In light of this, Acting Commissioner of Police Mr. Rodney Adams is asking the public to desist from circulating unsubstantiated information that only seeks to spread fear and paranoia.
Please await official police reports and we will continue to do our best to get them to you as soon as possible.
The public is being asked to contact 911, the closest police station, or call TCI Crime Stoppers at 1-800-8477 and give any information on any illegal activity anonymously.
Additionally, persons are encouraged to contact the Miami-Dade & Florida Keys Crime Stoppers at 1-305-471-8477 and give any information anonymously.
