This is an appeal for information connected with the murder of 66-year-old Fred Russell Bryan, who was shot and murdered Thursday night, March 18th, 2021, in Dolphin’s Bar, also known as Gashay Bar, located on Frith Street, Back Salina area of Grand Turk.
The motive for the attack is unknown at this time.
No arrest has been made at this stage of the investigation. Several persons are assisting the police; however, we seek assistance from within the community and the public at large. If anyone knows anything or has any information that would be useful in this case, we are asking them to come forward, please. We want to speak to anyone in the area of Frith Street, near the bar, or Good Street, the road that runs behind the bar, between 8:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. Please contact us if you saw or heard anything and if you have any CCTV, dashcam, or other visual recordings that may assist the investigation.
On Friday, March 19th, 2021, the police executed an authority to search a premises in the Breezy Bay area, and a firearm was recovered. A male was arrested in relation to this matter. No evidence links the said firearm to the murder.
There is a lot of speculation going around via a number of social media outlets relating to the murder, but the police cannot confirm this information. We would like for the public to be mindful of the information they are reading and or sharing.
