As officers of the Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force continue to carry out lawful enforcement actions to keep our communities safe, a 29-year-old man is currently in police custody facing serious criminal charges.
Officers of the Serious Crimes Unit and the Criminal Investigations Unit arrested and charged 29-year-old Jouvly Inelus.
Inelus received multiple charges for several serious crimes he is alleged to have committed over the last five months.
Inelus was charged with two counts of Threats to kill, Using Offensive Weapon as to cause fear, Carrying Offensive Weapon, Assault Occasioning Actual Bodily Harm, Setting Fire to Outhouse, Carrying Unlicensed Firearm, Discharging Firearm in relation to an incident on December 13th, 2020 and also charged for Carrying Firearm and Discharging Firearm in connection to an incident that took place on August 27th, 2020.
Detectives are continuing investigations into another serious crime in which he is a suspect.
