Officers of the Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force along with Immigration Officials conducted a joint operation in various areas of Providenciales earlier today (Tuesday 22 November 2016).
The operation was conducted to search for persons who are suspects of serious crimes and illegal immigrants.
This is part of an ongoing operation to apprehend individuals who are wanted by the RTCIPF.
A number of stolen goods were confiscated for investigation purposes and suspects arrested; sixteen (16) person including an infant was detained for immigration purposes. The infant is in the care of Welfare officers.
