The Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force are in full operation said Commissioner of Police Mr. James Smith, “911 is functional and urging the public to only call in case of emergency. Officers are patrolling and responding to calls. I understand the anxiety of not hearing from friends and family members from the other islands. I have personally visited Grand Turk, Salt Cay, South and Middle Caicos, there are extensive damages, communications are down, however no injuries or death reported as a result of Hurricane Irma.
We are working closely with Government and Non-Government agencies to restore power and getting Airport operational.
