Despite challenging circumstances on the islands at this time, The Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police are continuing their task of providing service and protection to the communities of Providenciales.

Detectives have arrested and charged a 35 year old male of Providenciales for Conspiracy to Rob in connection with a report made on Saturday 4th March 2017. Around 2:29am that date, police responded to the Cheshire Hall Medical where the victim told officers that upon exiting a vehicle in his hotel lobby he was approached by two masked men who shot him before making off with an undisclosed amount of money. The male is presently on remand.

Yesterday morning (Monday 11th September 2017) around 1:40am, officers responded to a report of an attempted Burglary at a business establishment, a 24 year old male was apprehended and is in police custody assisting with the investigation.

Around 12:29am this morning (Tuesday 12th September 2017), Tactical Unit officers responded to a firearm related offence where three persons were arrested and are assisting Police in the investigation. A firearm was also recovered and investigations are ongoing.
